Crowtrip ("we", "our", or "us"), developed by Megiast, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile app and website.
1. Information We Collect
We collect account information (name, email, password), profile details (country, city, bio, travel style), photos you upload, trip data and itineraries you create, device information for anonymous usage tracking, and usage data about how you interact with the service.
2. Camera and Photo Library
Crowtrip requests access to your camera and photo library solely to allow you to upload a profile photo. We do not access your camera or photos without your explicit action. Photos are stored securely in our cloud storage (Supabase) and are never shared with third parties.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to provide and improve the service, generate AI-powered itineraries using Claude (Anthropic), manage your account and subscription, send trip reminders and notifications (with your permission), and analyze usage to improve our features.
4. AI-Generated Content
Crowtrip uses Claude, an AI assistant by Anthropic, to generate travel itineraries. Your travel queries are sent to Anthropic's API. We do not share personally identifiable information beyond what is necessary to generate your itinerary.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with: Supabase (database and storage), Anthropic (AI for itinerary generation), RevenueCat (subscription management), Expo/EAS (app delivery), and Unsplash (destination photos). All providers are bound by data processing agreements.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app profile section or via our website. Upon deletion, all your data is permanently removed within 30 days.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security: encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), row-level security in our database, and secure token-based authentication.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, and export your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at emegiast@gmail.com.
9. Children's Privacy
Crowtrip is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
